Saint Lucy gazes out beneath a golden halo, wrapped in a deep green mantle over a gold gown, holding the martyr's palm and a golden dish that bears two eyes — her singular emblem. Muted hills stretch behind her. The mood is serene and steadfast — a luminous devotional piece for a prayer corner, a study, or an entryway.

Saint Lucy of Syracuse — Santa Lucía — was a young martyr of the early Church whose name means "light," making her the patron of the blind and of eyesight, honored each December in the festival of lights. Italian and Spanish Baroque painters, in the idealized manner of Guido Reni and Bartolomé Esteban Murillo, gave her this jewel-toned serenity: the palm of martyrdom in one hand, the golden dish of eyes in the other. Her green mantle and gold halo glow against an Old Master landscape. The image carries that steadfast, luminous devotion across the centuries — a saint of light for the contemporary home.

Printed to archival, museum-grade standards on heavyweight 200gsm paper in ten sizes, holding the emerald mantle and gilded halo in rich detail. A carved gilt or dark wood frame honors its devotional richness. Part of the Atrecho Art Religious Collection — gallery wall ready.

Our Story

Atrecho Art began with an obsession: the art that lines the walls of old European estates — the devotional portraits found in the side chapels of Seville’s cathedral. We are a family-owned small business bringing that spirit home, one print at a time. Thank you for supporting independent art.
